Jefferson Radiology is the largest radiology private practice group in Connecticut. The group has nine private offices in the Central Connecticut area and provides professional radiology services at four area hospitals, including Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Windham Hospital, Johnson Memorial Hospital and Tolland Imaging Center. As leaders in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology, 50 fellowship trained physicians and 400 highly trained staff are committed to providing patients with exceptional care and responsive service. The practice offers state-of-the-art equipment and performs more than 750,000 exams and procedures annually. Jefferson Radiology is one of 13 members of Strategic Radiology, LLC, a national consortium of large, clinically advanced groups located throughout the country. These groups share best practices for quality and cost efficient delivery of medical imaging.

Reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will hold the number two leadership position within the company and will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. The COO will be responsible for overall operation of the clinical and administrative functions at the various offices on a day to day basis and will have seven direct reports. The COO will have broad responsibilities in Leadership and Management, Operations, Human Resources, Strategic Planning and New Business Development.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration. An MBA is preferred. A minimum of eight to 10 years executive management experience in the healthcare field is required, preferably in the operations of a medical group practice. Qualified candidates may currently be serving as a Vice President Operations in a small to midsize hospital, large clinic network or large physician organization of at least $100 million in revenue. The ideal candidates will be outstanding leadership and human resource management skills. Experience in contracts, strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure, project management and Lean/Six Sigma principles is highly desirable.
